Second entry

While some cities are known for their celebrities, history; in my opinion, Diego’s maintain to fame is its nature. The fauna and flora are complementary elements. Despite the fauna is a good topic, this second blog entry will focus more on the importance of the flora in Diego, and on the necessity to protect it.

In Diego, the flora is important because of the economic advantages that it offers to the inhabitants. Diego is sometimes known for its different natural sites. For instance, the specific reserve of Ankarana or the National Park of Amber Mountain are the beautiful sites that may attract tourists to visit Diego.
Moreover, the beauty of Diego’s landscape which, is decorated by the flora makes this city more fascinating than the others. Therefore, fascinated by this landscape, some people take photos of it. They can sell these photos to earn money.
Another important point is about the environmental reasons. I suppose most of the people know that flora is a part of the environment. Concerning that, the flora is also important: it is considered the source of water and food for the humanity. In addition, it plays an important role and shelters various diversities.
The flora is important because of its cultural or scientific values that deserve to be managed with sustainable way.

Due to many bad things, the flora of Diego is in danger, so it needs to be protected namely for the future generations. I know how to hamper the degradation of our flora. Besides, taking care of the flora of Diego should be reinforced. That is to say, every citizen of Diego is invited to take his environmental responsibility. However, we do not need to go far to find the responsible. Therefore, I invite you to start with me: you who know my blog URL (Uniform Resource Locator) to make this ambition reality.
In addition, it will be great if we know to take the appropriate measures for the flora to escape the danger. Considered the main source of energy for cooking, we now are obliged to reduce the production’s rate of charcoal: undertaking this activity destroys a large part of our forests. Another measure is about the needs of reforestation. It is extremely recommended to reforest some kinds of species such as endemic trees as “Ravinala”, or the baobab scientifically called “Adansonia Suarezensis”. This latter can be only found in Diego.
The last, above all, I think the Malagasy authorities in Diego have a need of applying the laws related to the environment.

Brief, Diego is an attractive city thanks to its incomparable flora. However, numerous facts put the flora of Diego at risk. To take right measures is important to conserve it. As a result, in the name of our so beautiful and fragile flora, I invite you to open your eyes and to hamper the immoderate use of the natural resources. These resources should have perpetual life.

First entry

My name is Patrick ANDRIANARY. I come from Fianarantsoa, exactly in the place called Ambositra. However, I was born in Diego-Suarez. This later is the city where I have spent most of my time from my childhood, because I have grown up there.
Madagascar is an attractive country because of its friendly people and the existence of diverse plants, interesting places and different cultures.
Inside this biggest island of Indian Ocean, we can see many well-known national parks can be seen there, such as: Andasibe, Tsimbazaza, or Amber Mountain. This later is located in the northern of Madagascar.

In fact, I like the idea of environment protection. That is the reason I choose my topic which is entitled: “Flora of Diego”. Then I would like to make it known.
